Key Metric

With the variety of video channels used in branded content campaigns, it’s common to set different goals for videos hosted in each of these channels. For example, in one campaign the goal metric for YouTube might be Views, while the same video’s goal metric on Facebook could be 10-second views.

In our platform we let you define a Key Metric. In each video campaign, you can define the metric you want to focus on for each channel. This Key Metric is highlighted as the first column in the video table -- which makes it really easy to track and optimize how your campaign is performing against your specific goals.

To activate Key Metric for a video campaign, visit the settings page for the Campaign Board (click on the gear icon) and then select the "Key Metrics" option on the right menu.

Only certain users are able to set the Key Metrics for a Campaign Board. To get this access, reach out to your CSM.

Switch the toggle on and a dropdown will appear for every platform we can measure. Select the Key Metric you want to use from the available options. Every platform has to have a Key Metric set, even if you aren't using it in your campaign.

Note: though quartiles are represented in the app as a percentage, if selected as a Key Metric, we will use the count of quartile views. For example, if a video had 5000 25% views and 25,000 total views, we'd show 20% in the 25% quartile column and 5000 in the Key Metric column.

Once you've selected all of your Key Metrics, click the "Save" button.
